Living History in Clay Center

Every year in October, the Republican Valley Pioneer Festival is held. This picture is from that event. This young man is a re-enactor from a civil war camp. The festival is held at the Clay County, KS Fairgrounds in Clay Center, KS. Maybe you can join us!

Narnia??

No, it isn't Narnia...it is the Clay Center Town Square in the springtime!

A shooting star or a con-trail?

The night I took this picture, there was an active meteor shower. I was not looking for meteors though...I was just taking a picture of my friends' sign. When I got home, this light was on it......what do you think? Meteor or condensation trail from a plane?

Ever seen a baby Pheasant?

The Pheasant Farm near us allowed me to come in when the birds were first hatched, whata rare treat! Imagine these little guys and a thousand of their closest friends, it was an awesome sight.

Is there such a thing as a pretty pig?

By now this pretty pig has served America well, as a Christmas Ham, Breakfast Bacon and maybe even a Pork Tenderloin dinner. Before that though, he posed with the sun shining through the window. Maybe I am weird, but I think it is a pretty pig!

The wonder of Christmas

I adore the look of this photo. My granddaughter found my shoes! The little tutu is one of her favorite play dress up items. Does this look like a Christmas Card?
