Paul and I were out at the Jamestown Wetland area in North Central Kansas and we heard what we thought was an Eagle, but upon closer inspection, we saw a Hawk. Nice shot, Michelle! My first impression was ferruginous hawk followed by light morph redtail followed by light morph rough-legged followed by red-tail because of the faint patagial mark along the front of its wing. Man, my hawk skills are turning rusty! Anyway, good shot. 300 mm, huh? Big boy.
